The Detox Mania – The Master Cleanse

The Master Cleanse is one of the most widely used detox treatment there is. With the positive feedbacks it gained from individuals who had tried and proven its efficiency, plus with the endorsement of public figures, truly we could say that it is the new innovation towards becoming healthy and sexy!

We cannot deny the fact that flabs are out, and fit is in. That is why there are so many people who would spend so much money on fitness and diets programs that would promise them with optimum results in so little time, yet later find them worthless.

The Master Cleanse had gained its world renowned debut when a book entitled Lose Weight, Have More Energy and Be Happier in 10 Days by Peter Glickham came into the modern public. Through this, people had begun to recognize Master Cleanse as a weight loss program rather than a detoxification regime.

The Master cleanse had been developed by Stanley Burroughs in the 1940’s with a goal of resting the digestive tract, cleanse all systems with toxins, mobilize and eliminate harmful substances that had been stored in different parts of the body and to burn extra fat stores. So, we could clearly say that weight loss is a natural by-product of the detoxification process.

Those who wanted to pursue the program should prepare themselves emotionally and physically because a definite challenge would soon be on its way.

The detoxification process which lasts for a recommended length of 10 days, includes drinking of Lemonade juice made from Lemon or lime juice, Maple Syrup, Cayenne Pepper and Water. No other food or beverage should be taken while on the process. That is a very strict rule. The only other thing you could take is plenty of water to avoid dehydration of the body. The Lemonade juice has an acidic nature.

Due to the lack of fibers in the diet and in order to aid the body in expulsing these harmful toxins from the systems, laxative teas and relaxants should be taken while on the regime. A salt water flush should also be done once a day in order to cleanse the colon and to aid in the production of bowel movements in the intestines.

Some individuals had reported some side effects while on the regime. These include headaches, nausea and vomiting, irritability and cravings. But these symptoms go away after a day or two.

Some of the good effects of the programs consist of weight loss, increase energy, alleviate some chronic diseases and increased sexual stamina.

After the 10 day regime, you are advised to switch into eating healthy foods and going for a healthier lifestyle in order to maintain the body that you worked so hard for. There are no guarantees that you would remain in that state because some authorities say that you would gain back what you have lost in due time.

So, be wise, be health wise.
